Ashadeep's Daycare Centre at Guwahati provides counseling, training in living & social skills and vocational training to adults with mental disorders. It also provides care and special education to children with mental retardation and other developmental disorders. Today, the Ashadeep day care centre is the only one of its kind in North-East India.

The day care centre was Ashadeep's first initiative in the field of rehabilitation of persons with mental disorders. The daycare centre acts as a natural rehabilitative space where the mentally ill individual regains the skills he or she had lost out on as a result of the devastating effects of mental illness. The focus of Ashadeep's daycare centre is therapy

which is oriented towards resocializing the mentally ill individual so that they are occupied meaningfully and can ensure a dignified quality of life for themselves.

Emphasis is laid on prevocational and vocational training. In the final stage of rehabilitation, individuals can earn their livelihood in a Sheltered Workshop which is a part of Ashadeep's Day Care Centre. Income is generated for the individuals as well as for the organization by producing pillows & cushions, blocks printed clothing, Seminar file covers and other products. In the field of Psychiatric rehabilitation, the Sheltered workshop of Ashadeep has got recognition at the National level.
